Baptism Cake

This red velvet cake needed a special topper to celebrate the baptism of a darling little boy. So I wrapped it in a quilted blanket and topped it with a sweet little pair of baby booties. Don’t you just want to curl up on it? Well, you can’t because it really is cake and I am sure it was quickly devoured.

The ribbon roses at the base remind me of a Mary Englebright drawing. With a little luster they really pop. Blessings on this family and all of the little ones that are starting their walk of faith.
